When my dad was dying he confided in me that he had named me after an old girlfriend of his. I think he meant for me to feel special about it, but it really pissed me off. I changed my name after he died. It's amazing how disrespectful some people can be.
I named my son, Phury, after a character in the Black Dagger Brotherhood book series.
I feel extremely sorry for your son. I hate it when people name their kids something really weird or are like YOU and have some weird thing that you're really into and give the kid a weird ass name that goes along with it. You're basically ******* up your kids life immediately after birth.
lmfao wth why wud daddiii name u after thatt.. does mommiiee know thiss? sadtrip.. hope the names cute atleast :D
that happened to my mom and my girlfriend lol
Holy shit, my girlfriend was named after her dad's mistress too! I think its funny as hell, but I don't tell her. Probably better that way.
I know someone who was named after her father's girlfriend. Her mum did it intentionally, so that every time her dad said her name, he was reminded that he'd been cheating on his pregnant wife & would never escape from that fact. Then he divorced his wife, married his girlfriend & had his daughter move in. Having a daughter Kate & a wife Kate is... interesting, to say the least.

your dad is a vindictive champ. everytime your mom calls your name, she has to think of the other woman. maybe you should go by your middle name?
Ouch, kinda twisted.
