Today, I found out my 10 year old step-brother has an obsession with fire, after he burnt all the belongings in my room, including an £600 guitar. FML

He burnt *all* the belongings in your room? Question is, how did a 10 year old have free reign to burn that much stuff without anyone from the family being around to stop him, or without setting off a smoke alarm or anything?

Criminal charges. Call the police. Take photos.

Wow. You guys are amazing. Haven't you ever heard of not being in the house when something happens? Not all doors have locks either, you know. He could've been gone when the little snot-nose went pyromaniacal. If this does happen to be real (I've seen worse myself), then if your folks have a lick of sense, they'd better have grounded him for a damn long time, made sure that he got no presents for Christmas (after all, Santa doesn't deliver to little bastards *wink*), and stuck in a funny farm for kids. Seriously, the only way I can see the little bugger getting out of that is if he's mentally disabled, in which case he probably should be stuck in a care institution until he's okay enough to come out.

uhhmm 600 pounds is roughly 1200 dollars and you should definatly wait till he has something nice than burn it

I would burn HIM, Drums, Guitars and Basses are IRREPLACEABLE things.

I agree. The instruments are irreplaceable, but the people who can put use to them are completely replaceable and it is encouraged to do so on a regular basis. Bassist for about 8 years.

No need to be so sarcastic, I'd be devastated if my drum kit got destroyed, it's got loads of different parts from different companies, not so easy to replace. Also, I doubt my brother would be very happy with his Les Paul being destroyed either.

its ok pounds arent real money anyway

Oh, and #30, if pounds aren't real money then why are they worth more than dollars?

Oh SNAP! but you should have leave the dollar alone, (Insert: any good invester is) the poor thing's going to be out valued by toliet paper soon.

The pound is the most valuable currency in the world

If his parents are any kind of decent (which i doubt since he's a step-brother, nothing personal against them but it's just the most common ways that happens are fairly disreputable). They'll make him earn the money to replace the bigger things. If somehow he doesn't get parenatally obligated (i know some parents show favoritism or are just plain enablers) then get the proof together and hit him with criminal charges. If none of those work, something is wrong with everyone involved.
