Ok, reading at a comment before they said that condoms are banned in that country. I'm not sure if that is true but if so that could be a reason why they didn't use one. And if they didn't use a condom sex should have been the last thing on their mind. Personally, me, I would get tested before hand especially considering that anyone could have diseases. Better to know ahead of time instead of later.

Snickerdoodles actually makes an excellent, logical point. If one chooses to be sexually active and not even practice safe sex, why should anyone feel sorry for that person who gets an STD? Lesson learned, hopefully.

obviously she didn't know he had an STD before sleeping with him, she wouldn't post an FML about it. I'm all for abstinence, I'm abstinent. but if he's got an STD that isn't visible yet (some takes time to be visible, but is still contagious), then she would've caught it just the same if married.
