Today, I found out my girlfriend starts fights with me over text because apparently, when I'm arguing with someone, I stop speaking in "annoying shorthand" and am grammatically correct. FML

Today, my girlfriend confronted me for forgetting to take the trash out. At some point during the argument, I tried to calm her down, and the words "I should of" escaped my lips. She spent the next ten minutes calling me stupid and laughing at how my grammar goes to hell when I'm distressed. FML

Today, my girlfriend and I agreed to weekly talks about anything that is bothering us, since we’ve been arguing a lot lately. So far, every talk has been her moaning at me about how I annoy her, yet when I try to have my say, she interrupts or yells at me for blaming her for our problems. FML

Today, my girlfriend has yelled at me multiple times for saying sorry too much. It's involuntary, due to me constantly being told I never do anything right growing up by my parents. She knows this, and is even then one who helped me realize this, and still yells at me for it. FML

Today, my girlfriend and I were arguing. I told her that "same" and "similar" were two different words that meant two different things. She said, "I don't know about that, let me research it." This is the level of, "I always need to be right" that I deal with every day. I need to end things, for both of our sakes. FML

Ok, dustbunny, the reason people care so much is because it's not that difficult to spell out words like 'to.' Text shorthand is kind of lazy. Also, whether it's Facebook, text or a letter to your grandma, you're still communicating with another person. When a someone takes care to spell properly and use correct punctuation, it communicates that he or she cares about what is being said is an intelligent, well spoken person. So, if you're ok with representing yourself to be dumb and lazy, keep using annoying text shorthand. IDC relli neway. Ur decishun, k?? Lololol.
