Today, I found out my mom can't wait until I turn 18, so she can kick me out and turn my room into a huge closet for all her clothes. FML

I hate parents with the mindset of kicking you out when you turn 18. That's the most ****** up thing a parent can do. Most people aren't finically stable at 18 and need help before they get out.

Why is it everytime people want to turn a room into something, it has to be a closet? at least use the room for something clever.. anyway, you wouldn't want to be around someone like that.. your mum should dread the day her little bird leaves the nest..people these days..

How would a mother know that their child would turn into an arsehole? It's not always the parents fault, I was an idiot in my teens because I got mixed up in the wrong crowd but I had an amazing mum

Sounds like your mom has a shopping addiction if she has enough clothes to store in a whole bedroom and deem it a closet. I'm trying to imagine a room turned into a whole closet. Unless it's small enough to be one?

Don't give her the satisfaction of kicking you out. Move out on your own! That'll show her! I'm being somewhat serious. If she legally can kick you out and she seriously plans on doing so, you might as well get prepared for it. Sorry your mom's an asshole. :/

Parents like that are the worst. While she is only legally responsible for you until you're 18, Children are a life long commitment. Don't have them if you aren't willing to help them until the die you die or you can barely help yourself anymore.

I don't understand why some parents are so quick to kick their kids out at the age of 18. I moved out when I was 21 and my mom wasn't ready for me to leave.
