In all fairness op, occasionally there is a good mom or two on the show but it is definitely not something she should base good parenting skills on. good luck with the new addition to the family and hope everything works out :)

I guess it's it could be a good parenting lesson, just do the opposite of what they're doing and she'll be fine.

Your sister sounds ignorant and naive she was irresponsibly to fall pregnant while still a minor and financially dependent on her parents and is dim witted to be watching pop culture television series in an attempt to learn the skills of parenthood. I sincerely hope that the infants father is wiser.

Haha wow, that's a lot of assumptions in one comment. We know that she's "dim witted to be watching pop culture television series in an attempt to learn the skills of parenthood" but we don't know that she's a minor and we don't know that she's financially dependent on her parents.

@102: Really. You have no idea if most of what you said is actually true. First off, 18/19 is still in their teens, but not a minor. Secondly, you have no information about how financially (in-)dependent she is. Plenty of people are already living on their at that age.

Chelsea is the best one there. she has her life together, she isn't a hot mess and she's the only who is constantly getting married and divorced and having even more kids they can't handle.
