You need to teach your kid not to lie. You deserve not having a babysitter. What your child lied about could have severely negative consequences for an innocent person. You totally deserved it.
I feel like your eight year old needs the beating.
One of the many reasons why I will never have kids.
I would get the kid immediate help before accusations get alot worse for you and your family, I have a 12 almost 13yr old daughter who recently tried this crap and cps had to investigate her claims, lies and manipulations, she was discovered to have lied by police and cps, but cps are the biggest hurdle to deal with. Had to seperate our family for abit, turns out our daughter is an attention seeker and suffering from mental illness, would hate for any other parent to go through this at no fault of their own
You're one of those parents who yells at the teacher if your child gets bad grades, aren't you.
Well I've heard of too many kids that were serious and nobody would believe them, it's better the other way around. Don't be so hard on yourself
it sounds like your son has some serious issues. I hope you get him some help. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to babysit him.
Looks like the ****** will be beat now. Unless you’re terrible parents
time to give him a real beating so he can tell the difference next time

This makes a great teaching moment. Make sure your child understands the gravity of what he did and apologize to the babysitter. You should also find out why he lied. Does he want more time with you? Does he not like the babysitter because she enforces rules? A nice reading of The Boy Who Cried Wolf might be in order too. Careers have been ruined this way.
Parents are in an impossible situation. Kids do lie and lives have been ruined when kids lied. This babysitter could have been in jail over this kids lies. I wouldn't babysit this kid again either. However, if parents don't believe kids, that can cause issues to. So many kids were abused and were not protected by parents who didn't believe them. It's a no win situation!
