Get used to it - The majority of interns don't have a salary at all. You obviously work for a large company that makes a lot of money, this is something you should probably get used to, being able to enjoy lavish parties. If you can't handle it go apply at the local grocery store, I guarantee they won't be spending any money on ANY kind of food for you [except maybe pizza or bagels every once in awhile]. Seriously though, your life ISNT ******, it's not even bad and the situation described isn't bad. . .at all. You took a PAID internship and aren't making much money. . SHOCKER!
Hence the term Intern!
Sadly, most internships are that way. The real value of an internship is the experience.
Well... You are doing a internship. You aren't actually supposed to get paid.
Be happy you're getting paid at all for an internship. Most of the time all you get is college credit or work experience.
Hey come on now.... Crab puffs, cocktail shrimp, pigs in a blanket, spanakopida, etc... those things are expensive and hard to create. Interns on the other hand are like fish in the sea, more than enough to go around and usually kind of cheap to acquire. But if you feel that strongly, go to the party with a jacket with deeeeeep pockets, stuff then with food and bottles of liquor (not in the same pocket), then eat and drink yourself silly, then split. That'll show 'em! OR.......... be greatful you had the opportunity to acquire some work experience and get paid for it and go out and make something out fo yourself other than a whining little prick... just thinking out loud.....
