At least he doesn't write slash about cartoon characters. That's what one of my friends spends her summer doing, and it is the most disturbing assemblage of words ever.

Since it's up in the air whether you mean slash as in the context of fanfiction or slash as in slasher movies, I'll simply state that, generally children would prefer NOT to know their parents' hobbies/obsessions/kinks.

CSI is an awesome series, but it hasn't been the same in years (since Grissom left). I've written fan fiction based on TV shows that I love before, but they were more romance/drama type than slasher. Regardless, your dad could have worse hobbies - like jerking off to **** in your mom's presence (or worse yet, yours), or cheating, stealing, etc. This one is pretty harmless, so it's not that bad. Who knows, maybe he feels the show is lacking for the same reasons many devoted fans do and is trying to improve it.
