Today, I asked out the man of my dreams. He told me he'd have to ask his dad if it was OK. I thought he was just kidding, until he pulled out his phone and called his dad. After a few minutes of "Come on, Dad" and "But why?" he hung up and said his dad wouldn't let him. He's 22. FML

Today, my dad is getting married for the 4th time. First it was my mom, then as they got older, he married a woman 10 years his junior, then his third wife was my age and 28 years his junior. Now at the grand old age of 64, he is marrying a 22 year old, 42 years his junior, almost 2 decades younger than me. FML

This happened to a friend mine. My friend was 17 when her dad left their family for a girl who was 18. Apparently my friend's dad had been seeing this girl for two years and was just waiting for her to become legal. My friend said the girl was always trying to be overly nice to her and she knows why now. My goodness.
