It is usually used as an affectionate term depending on the type of relationship. If its a type of sibling relationship even between two really close friends then its most likley affectionate

Depending on the actual word and what regional dialect is spoken it actually could be. In one area "aho" means along the lines of "dummy" like you would say to a friend and "baka" would be like yelling "******". In another region though, "aho" means "******" and "baka" means "dummy"
