The comic is a joke, where you're supposed to wonder what all the looks are for, then when he gets arrested you see he has no pants on. The OP is a woman. The comic is just a funny illustration. Offering people free hugs really isn't very funny, and kind of a little flaky and silly. Some people will use it to get attention. Some people legitimately want to make others feel better. Doing it alone seems like an attention getter to me. Either that or the misguided idea of a teenager who thinks the problem with the world is a lack of compassion. They may be right, but free hugs will solve nothing. Use your time to make a real difference. Standing around offering free hugs will improve the situation about as much as standing around begging for change will improve the life of the beggar. Not a bad thing to do, but pretty pointless, given the alternatives.
