Today, I found out the hard way that it is possible to sunburn the soles of your feet. FML

Walk through a water park with no shoes on a sunny day or on sand on a hot day. That's how it has happened to me

I never knew walking on sunshine could hurt so much......

This happens sort of easily really. When it happened to me, I was tanning near the pool, lying on my stomach, reading a book. Unfotunately, the book was very good so I lay there, soles of my feet turned up, toes down (lying there, it was the most comfortable position on the grass) and when I finally turned around and got up, I noticed my mistake. I never thought to put some sunblock on the soles of my feet, since I never gave it any thought. Now I know better and so does OP :)

That happened to me ones, every step makes it a bit more bearable

Looks like you are on hot ground with mother nature.

I just did this and I can barely walk :( FYL

Though harder to do, you CAN burn the soles. You shouldn't have fallen asleep.

Thank you for determining this. Next, please test to see if your palms can be sun-burned.

Walking on the beach can burn your feet. The sand feels scorching on a hot day and if you don't wear sandals
