The hardest part of leaving a job is the guilt of letting down your old employer. I wish I could've heard that last time I changed job to remove the guilt.
YDI because now you have a better job AND a better boss.
I think what #16 was trying to say, was that OP deserved the better job, and twice the pay, hence the "YDI".
I had a boss well ex boss like this.. Best thing you could have ever done. Congrats!
Now you get a better job with twice the pay, while also leaving a bad boss!
Oh well makes it less awkward and you don't have to feel bad about it
And you ate bothered because?? You are leaving whi cares what your boss says!!!
Did the same thing myself not too long ago, OP. It's worth it.
Coming from a fellow job hunter, congratulations! Don't let him spoil your achievement. If the boss said that, I hope he gets left in a lurch in your absence!
Hell I'd be Glad he didn't let you go if he wasn't a fan...

About ******* time you realize you're qualified for a better job and more money. Took you long enough, OP.
Don't feel bad! You're getting a better job, better pay AND leaving behind a grumpy boss. It's a win-win-win situation.
