What, are you like 9? And stop leaving your shit behind at your parents' house. They're not there to pick up after you.
Good for them. My daughter just moved back in at 26, waiting for a "room mate" to share an apt with. Take your present and make something of yourself. YDI for leaving it.
Well what you want keep what you don't want donate or sell...
I packed all my stuff I could in my car and just walked out. I left all the stupid stuff that one tends to accumulate over time.
OP's age would help in this because if OP is 19/20 and recently moved out or moved out a year ago its weird to not have your parents celebrate your birthday with a gift. For 18 years (maybe more, sometimes less) your parents will give you stuff, but once you move out its different. You just come to expect it so when its not there its weird.
Huh, Alan?
True in a sense, 41. However, I kinda feel that a parent who doesn't give their ten year old a birthday present is kind of an ass hole. Personally, I don't feel the same way about a parent who doesn't give their adult kid a birthday present. That's just me.
Either they're sending you a message or they had no money to buy you a proper gift.

That's actually a pretty good present. At least they didn't sell your stuff.
What did they say about your *****?
