I'm sorry but unless you're driving hundreds of miles to work it can't possibly cost you more to drive there than what you would do. unless of course you took a job for $1 an hour.
You can always get up early and bike your way there, if busses don't run where you live. Even if it's 30 kilometers it'll be worth it- no fuel needed but water and an energy bar or something.
