Today, I finally went to the hospital for a week-long migraine. A few Saturdays ago I went to the park to play frisbee with my friends and coworkers. While climbing a fence, I fell and hit my head twice. Turns out I have a severe concussion and a swollen brain. FML

Today, I was diagnosed with migraines. Any loud sounds or bright lights make it worse. I'm the drummer for a heavy metal band, so I now have to choose between really bad migraines or a career. FML

Today, I forced myself into work with severe laryngitis. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, except I work at candy and ice cream store at a major tourist destination. For seven hours I had to communicate with unsympathetic adults and screaming, bratty kids by miming and using a dry erase board. FML

Today, I went to a concert for the first time in 5 years. I got all dressed up and even ended up hanging out with the band. The night came to a screeching halt when I got a migraine and ended up in the ER vomiting non-stop. I was in the hospital all night. FML

No sympathy there. Ever heard of Advil buddy? Works in 20 min. The fact you tortured yourself for 7 hours makes no sense to me. I get migraines all the time and I'm a SAHM. Pop two liquid gels and you're back in business. Stop being a dramaqueen.

Those suggesting that the OP take two advil to get rid of a migraine have CLEARLY never had a true migraine. I can take 4 advil, if I'm out of my prescription and it STILL only puts a dent in the pain. A true migraine not just a headache, a migraine makes you honestly consider hitting yourself in the head with a hammer to knock yourself out....b/c it will make the pain stop.
