Today, I got notice that I didn't get the new position I applied for at work. After two interviews, pay negotiation and paperwork, as well as years of giving this place all my time, I found out my boss gave it to his friend's daughter, who has no experience or credentials needed for the position. Today, I was supposed to start a new job. I had accepted a new position with a different company three weeks ago, and gave my notice. At the time, I even trained my replacement. Today, I found out that my new work doesn't need me anymore. So, I'm unemployed. FML

The same shit happened to me a few weeks ago, after I had filled out the paperwork and everything. It also happened to be on the day I started the new job when they called me and said that they didn't need me. Plus, it was after I bought a new set of work attire for it. I'll be damned if there isn't something illegal about all of this!

Sometimes jobs don't like it when you go around talking about a job you haven't worked at yet. I get you were excited, but sometimes its better to keep things quite for awhile.
