Today, I got a well paying job that requires me to drive around and present a product to potential customers. After going out for a victory meal with friends, I came home to find my car broken into, and my GPS stolen. I need it for the job. FML

If it's vector or selling knives, your gps isnt your only problem

well if you have a good paying job, then replacing it should be nothing for you, it's not like they're that expensive anymore.

LOL!!! entertaining, u two :D OP: sorry for u. buy another and claim it on ur taxes.

Vector doesn't suck, but the job is not for everyone. I had no problem selling the product while I worked there, in fact I was one of the best salespeople within my training group, but the pressure of the job gave me anxiety attacks and made me physically ill. And I wouldn't say that you're strictly "paid what you're worth;" someone who sells an Ultimate once a week probably isn't working as hard as someone who makes piece orders consistently every day of the week, but they might make more on commission. They just know who to pick to demo to. I think my biggest issue with the company was the initial "no pressure" assurance, followed immediately by the push. "You have to show this many demos a day, this many a week, don't stop calling people until you have ten appointments, don't take no for an answer, push as hard as you can for referrals..." I felt it was very misleading and very manipulative of the management and, to a lesser degree, the sales reps. But hey, if you have the right personality then you can be incredibly successful at this job.

Working for the government is the best job with the best benefits. $30 an hour to do mostly nothing and play cards, and you get in trouble for working too hard cuz it makes others "look bad".

Those whom are saying to get a map I would say Only use a map in cafe or retaurant.. As a huge map marks you as the worst kind of tourist: A lost tourist.... So yeah carjacking and a distracted peron reading a HUGE map in a car equals mark!!! A gps you can hide easier...

Haha I bet it's Vector Marketing he's working for too. Better get good with those knives!

Vector does suck. They put so much pressure on you to make appointments and sell. My manager got mad because I wouldn't quit my other job to set up more appointments, and I needed that other job for my major. Its an awful job. I'm sure that it works if you have no life, and you know people with money who can afford to spend a couple hundred dollars on knives.
