Today, I got an early Valentine's day card. My boyfriend and I recently broke up, and my hopes shot up thinking it might be from him. It wasn't. It was from my parents. FML

I take it he broke up with you since you thought he would send you a card to get back together. 1. It is awesome your parents care enough to send you a card. While breaking up with your boyfriend is hard, depending on the length of time or the strength of the emotions, don't let it blind you to the things you do have. You have parents who seem to care and you have other great things going on in your life. Take time to mourn the relationship but don't hold your breathe waiting for him to crawl back. It is probably for the best and when you are done with mourning for what was you can start focusing on what will be. If you got one awesome guy you can get another. 2. Don't let one holiday make you feel like shit. A lot of people spend them alone.
