It implies OP was dumped, not that she dumped him or they both broke up on equal terms. So "moaning like a little bitch" like you said, is perfectly acceptable for her because it shows that she still has feelings for her boyfriend, and got her hopes up over that card. It's not about how "op's parents love her", it's about HER FEELINGS. Try to be less apathetic, will you?
