Today, I got an email saying the gift I'd ordered for my boyfriend of three years had been sent. I ordered it a couple of days ago because I thought he needed cheering up. I guess he found a better way of doing so himself; he broke up with me yesterday. FML

Hold on to the gift, and give it to someone else later.

Just let him know about the inopportune timing so he doesn't get the retarded idea that you're "a crazy ex" or some stupid thing.

Oh yes, because everyone always appreciates a good regift. Make sure you tell the new person too!

#32- A re-gift is when someone buys you a present and you give it to someone else. That's not what OP would be doing...

would be great but not if it was sent to his address

Well, you never had to wait for Postage and Packaging on a break-up.

:'( Oh, I've got to be stoic around here. :|

Just because you ordered it for him, doesnt mean you have to give it to him

It could've been sent to his house. I say good luck getting it back in that case.

I'll take it! What is it? Anywho, you seem kinda down and I see no better way of cheering you up than letting you lavish gifts on me. I can be very grateful, if you know what I mean ;) Mr. Worldwide, 305, Dale!

Can anyone lavish you with gifts? Or is this for OP only? I only ask because,,, well,,, because I don't want you to breakup with me. What we had that one night was special. Special to me anyway.

#24, no, the gift-giving is open to anyone, and you have an opportunity to impress me even on a tight budget. Do you have access to really good apples? For some reason, the apples they sell here in Florida are shit (I blame the thugs of Big Citrus). So, if you'll send me some nice, crunchy apples, you'll be in my good graces. Thanks!

Hmmm. Well, actually strawberries are what we have in season over here. Not sure when fresh applies are available. However, I can send you some of the best strawberries you have had in your life. They taste like little red bags of sugar.

Hopefully it's something that you yourself can use... Keep it and use it to cheer yourself up just for spite... If not, return it. You don't need the constant reminder of that relationship hanging around.

What a douche. You deserve better than that. Unreal.

He's not necessarily a douche. People break up all the time; it didn't say he had cheated on her or something else douchey, he just broke up with her

How's he a douche? If he hasn't got any feelings for her anymore, of course he should break up. Or should he just pretend that he loves her all her life?

RedPillSucks 31

Right. He also probably didn't get the gift before the breakup. Hopefully OP didn't have it delivered directly to BF address.

Excuse me for my comment. Argh, not a morning person. Sorry.

Well you have several options. Either return it or keep it for later

Hopefully it's a gift you can use yourself, or for a future boyfriend, maybe?:)

I would personally hate to find out if something my gf gave to me had been for one of her previous bf's. She could sell whatever it is on eBay or something.

or she could just not tell him that

Maybe this gift will get you two back together?
