Don't feel too bad. I've literally been kicked from a game even when I was at the top if the leaderboard for being a girl. I had played like 2 games with my mic muted and then turned it on to warn my team about a death trap and I heard someone say "is that a girl?" And voted to kick me. Crazy.

doesn't that mean that you had previous "cooldowns" which in turn means you probably did other things the game considered bad. forgive me if I am mistaken, but isn't name calling of any kind against the tos? I haven't played cs go only cs but many years ago so I may be out of the loop but im sure thats grounds for a ban. was it a bad name calling? probably not, but it still is name calling.

I understand your pain OP, the community on CS:GO is terrible. That's why I always try to play with people that I trust. If you haven't done so already then I would suggest finding a good group to play with. Trying to solo when playing on silver or above is very frustrating.

I don't think you were kicked for just being a girl, but a girl who was doing way better than them and made them felt intimidated.

I play cs:go a lot and people voted to kick me because I was doing bad and then they kept screaming at me, everyone declines the kick only to scream at me more making my game play even worse. That is why I have playing in a game with low silvers and hope to rank higher quickly.

Soooo not trying to sound like a dick, but maybe if they all voted yes...it could be possible you're a bit of a jerk. No, not making assumptions, but I've played many online games and often find the type of people who are REALLY good at the game, but they're also kind of assholes. They know everything, they talk down to everyone for not being as good as them, and it kind of makes the game suck for everyone else. Obviously, I don't know you, but just wanted to offer some food for thought in case you want to take some time to reflect on why the majority of the people on your team would agree to kick you. And sorry for your ban that really does suck :(

#151 - Do you also avoid team sports because somebody might not pass you the ball? Just because there are edge cases by the vocal minority doesn't mean the experience as a whole sucks. It's an experience you can't properly emulate in single player. If you don't want to play team-based games online, fine, but you're likely missing out based on a pre-conceived notion or a rare experience.

It happens. I got kicked from a match of TF2 once for being a "squeaker" (prepubescent guy). Apparently they couldn't tell the difference over voice chat between a 12 year old boy and a woman in her 20s!

holy shit that sucks! that almost happened to me, but they decided that I was a prepubescent boy :/

@180 I have that problem as well, I love online gaming and people seem to always confuse me with a squeaker. As a woman in mid 20s I find that hilarious but also annoying at times, especially if I have to correct them :P most of the time, I just don't care :P

You have to get kicked more than once to be banned for it and considering you got a 7 day ban this is more of a ydi

You should probably rethink your attitude considering your entire group voted to kick you out. They probably had other reason, not just the baked potato thing. The fact that you said you're the best one in the group tells me you're arrogant.

Idk what some guys problems are, but in my experience, all the gamer guys I've came into contact with really liked that I was into gaming too. I guess some just don't like being outdone by a girl...
