Today, I got in a hotel elevator. There was a kid in there also. He got off on the 3rd floor. As he was stepping from the elevator, he decided to press every single button. It's a 35 floor hotel. My room is on the 32nd floor. FML

OK, maybe it wasn't terrible. Except for the fact that this is what the site is for. It still sucks even if my life isn't ****** to shit.

i noticed that most elevators these days wont let more than a set amount of buttons to be pushed. so that rarely happens anymore

Don't most elevators have the "call cancel" button? It cancels whatever button/buttons were just pushed.

Yes, either that or double-pressing the buttons usually cancels it. So that, or get out and (go to the next elevator/take the stairs).

The same thing happened to me in my apartment elevator a couple of weeks ago as well. His mom and him were getting off on the 2nd floor and the damn kid decided to press the rest of the elevator buttons as well. I grabbed his arm, but it was too late. I was ready to punch him in the face, but his mom was there. The kid must've had a mental disorder, because I see him every once in a while in the elevator again and he just can't keep still! I've been watching his hands ever since.

No, I'm American. Suggesting a punch to any of the typical targets would have been like many other comments. Choosing such a ridiculous target was meant to cause a reaction. And it worked.
