Today, I got let go from my job, because my personal cell phone doesn't always have signal, so I missed an important call from work. My contract specifically said I'd get a work phone, which never happened. FML

Well that's something you should take to court. If it's in the contract then they will have to give you your job back and the phone.

You cannot be fired for not answering your personal phone, I would contact HR or a lawyer.

Pretty sure you can sue for that. Contract works both ways OP

Im with a lot of people. Is not your fault. Go complain. Hope it all gets resolved and you get your job back

That's an awfully convenient reason to let someone go. It sounds fishy to me, I think you've got a case for wrongful termination. Best of luck to you!

As others have been saying, sounds like a breach of contract on their end. I would go to Human Resources and see what they say. If it's a no from them, talk to a lawyer and see if they included any loopholes in that contract. I wish you the best and good luck in the future.
