Today, I got my medical checkup back. Apparently, I'm diagnosed with a liver condition generally found in alcoholics. I've never drank in my life. FML

You can get liver problems if you mess around with pills. Same thing happened to my grandpa. Only one in my family who didn't drink a day in his life, but his doctors over-medicated him for a heart condition and he died from liver failure. I'd check any drugs you've been taking.

I'm guessing you're talking about cirrhosis. It is most common in alcoholics, but it can also be caused by Hepatitis, metabolic and insulin-related issues, and other things. Still, sucks that you have it and sucks that most people will assume you got it due to alcoholism...

What pills are you taking then?? prescription pain meds cause just as much, if not more, damage on your liver as alcohol. Your liver will repair itself when you stop taking pills....

Liver problems can show up regardless of alcohol or medication use. Some people are just that unlucky. I'm so sorry. I really hope it's manageable.

It doesn't have to be pill/alcohol related. I have liver problem that's not caused by drinking either, it's called NASH. All of you"I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night so I know everything" people need to grow up.
