OP here! First off, for all the people inquiring about what the costume is, it is a plush dinosaur that his legs go into and his upper half sticks out of it. You can see a picture of it if you search "dinosaur" at costume express. And the issue isnt that he loves the costume, in fact he hated putting it on at first. The issue is that he wants candy and he wants candy RIGHT NOW. Thanks for all the suggestions. But now that a day has gone by, the costume is in a closet and he seems to have forgotten all about it.

my son wore a homemade very heavy dragon costume for 3 days in July once. he even wore it in public. his twin sister wore a princess dress and toy high heels. let him wear it he wont be 2 ever again. soon enough he won't even want to be around his parents.
At 2 years he knows about halloween treats! I find that impressive. Just tell him people buy the treats later, if he go now he will collect nothing.

Aww so cute :)
I'm an adult and want my candy right now
My candy never got past the second day. My father would be passed out on the floor surrounded by candy wrappers
Its my candy and I need it now!
Aren't children just the cutest?
dayum #69- ehrm, 92.. you can be my candy.. nice picture ;-)
you really can't tell a child that young about something like trick or treating that far in advance. Even a day or two is hard for them to wait for, but at least a they understand tomorrow as a time frame rather than the end of the month. You sorta DI for not properly preparing him, or well in this case, doing it to early. I hope you're able to get a handle in his meltdowns now, even though he's in his terrible 2s he needs to learn that's not OK. Good luck next time OP
92 At J.G. Wentworth 877 candy now!
Is it just me, or did this just start a full-scale up vote / comment war of adults who want their candy, and want it now. And just as a side note, I WANT CANDY EVERYDAY.
what does op mean?

My little cousin has been a skunk for the past 5 years for Halloween, he loves that costume to death.
Aw how cute, he has to understand that he has to wait though. But if he loves his custume so very much why not letting him wear it. He is only once 2 years old.
The new YOLO: YO2YOO. You're only 2 years old once. DAD I WANT CANDY!!!!!!!!!! Why, son? Because YO2YOO.
My sister lets her daughter dress up in costumes all the time. But my niece knows that her halloween costume is different, and she has to wait. But after halloween, she gets to keep the costume as dress up. I remember two years ago, she wore her princess outfit for an entire month at home. But she knew she couldn't wear it in public.
Same thing happened with my nephews Iron Man costume. They got it off him after he fell asleep and hid it.
YDI: you should have waited a little later to show it to him
I had to try it on to make sure it fit. I needed ample time to send it back and order a new size if I needed to.
89 ur an idiot
#89, if it didn't fit & it had to be sent back & a new one ordered, the sooner that's taken care of the better.
