Today, I got pulled over for the first time since I got my license. I have disorganized speech and occasional inappropriate emotional response. I began to laugh due to nervousness and when I tried to explain why, I was arrested because he thought I was high. FML

you can't get arrested for BEING high, just if you have drugs ON you.

They can't arrest someone because they "think" you are high. They do drug tests, stupid. Sounds like someone wants some attention…

I can't believe anyone would click YDI. Some people just have no understanding. To people who say those aren't real conditions, all I can say is you're lucky not everyone is as ignorant as you are. I'm sorry OP that must suck to have to go through that, it's hard enough to deal with these conditions and being constantly mis-understood. Good luck in the future, and to all those people who say she's just "attention seeking" is someone with depression attention seeking? Or someone with diabetes? There are conditions that are "invisible" but they're just as real if not as understood as others. Have a little respect please.

To be honest, I understand having inappropriate emotional responses and disorganized speech suck - especially in situations like this - but calling it a 'condition' or a 'disorder' is just calling it more than it is. Everyone has it at times, some more often than others, but this sounds like something to be medicalized. And I don't agree with that. And I study psychology. In case it would matter.
