Today, I got screamed at to the point of tears by a Starbucks employee for "giving an obviously fake name" to confuse one of the employees. I told her my real name. My name is Ian. FML

something tells me the Starbucks employee just can't read but i might be wrong

Don't worry, they won't get far in life by insulting others.

Well, there are 2 whole syllables there so, considering she worked at Starbucks, she was probably out of her depth...

I'd have taken out my ID and shoved it in the employee's ******* face. Who the **** never heard the name Ian before?

I know someone who couldn't spell Eli for a customer, I don't know how this ignorance happens, I always try to be polite and ask for the correct spelling, like Sydney vs Sidney or Meghan Megan Meagan. I write happy birthday on a cup if someone uses a birthday reward also. Most of the time names don't get called anyway, just drink orders.

Well my name is Nikolaus. Thats a bit more confusing I think

Sounds like an asshole. Should be fired. I mean they LITERALLY screamed at u? Yes. Speak to the manager. That's ridiculous. Everyone has bad days but that's too far.

show ID. tell the manager how much you love Yelp.com. get free coffee. write scathing review anyway.

dont feel bad. My name is Sarah. the correct spelling of Sarah, might i add. but people always ask "with an H?" so I told the starbucks girl"Sarah with an h" when she asked my name. what did I get??? "Shara".
