Today, I got screamed at to the point of tears by a Starbucks employee for "giving an obviously fake name" to confuse one of the employees. I told her my real name. My name is Ian. FML

Starbucks is corporate, f dem, if anyone else saw, sew for emotional distress

I'm curious, what does one sew for emotional distress? A nice jacket?

Yes... ""Sew" the crap out of "dem" "corporate folk." "Dat" way "dey" be stuck at "dey" jobs in "da" same threads everyday. Show them what's up. Where's my $15 dolla an hour job at? "...

68 - I wish I could upvote you more than once.

Sewing is very good for emotional distress. Really calms you down.

Just wondering who's tears these are? A little sensitive maybe?

Hey man, nobody likes getting yelled at, especially after a tough day getting yelled at can really set you over the edge

I don't understand. What's so confusing/controversial about the name Ian? Am I missing something?

Wow. I can only imagine how they would react if I used my real name... sorry, OP. Hope you held your own and got the manager involved.

My brothers name is Ian. I don't understand how people get so confused about it. it's one of the easiest names I know of. Unlike myself whose full name is Christianna, try having to deal with that. Sorry that happened OP.

I went to a Starbucks at a U.S. airport and the employee who served me couldn't spell 'Sue'. I was glad I didn't give them my full first name - Susanne.I have seen a pic on social media where the Starbucks employee's attempt to spell Phil came out as Feel. I hope OP received an apology and some freebies and I hope that employee was disciplined if not fired. For goodness sake, it's one thing not to know how to spell something but why not just ask?

I can only imagine the interviews. "Can you spell cat?" "K-A-T-T" *stares* "Good enough..."

Will you cry again if I point out you used 'to' instead of 'too' in your username?

Thank you. I was getting near tooth grinding over that, not sure if the idea of it being purposefully wrong would be better or worse.
