Today, I got the haircut I've been wanting for ages. I then called my girlfriend of two years and asked what she would do if I got a haircut. She told me she would dump me and then invited me to her house for dinner. I'm scared to go. FML

I don't think he should have gotten her permission, but I think asking her after the fact was really stupid. If you're going to ask, do it before. If you get it done first tell her what you did instead of asking her opinion. Now if he goes she'll think he's an ass who asked then went against her opinion after he knew. And a "well, I had already done it" explanation would just get a "then why the **** did you ask me?!" response. I wouldn't care what my husband did as long as he didnt ask my opinion after it was already done, that's just stupid.

It's your hair, wtf is her problem? She can have an opinion about it, she can say she doesn't like it if it's that bad to her, but she'll get used to it if she's even a bit serious about you. If she dumps you she's a shallow bitch and I don't see why you'd waste your time with her, surely there must be many other things that she likes about you and are more important than your hair. Hair should be one of the least important things to her, as long as it's a normal, fine looking haircut, I don't see why she should spend more than 5 minutes thinking about it.

Well for one thing she was probably joking. But if she wasn't then good, because why would you want to be with a girl that is that shallow? You would be walking on pins and needles your whole relationship wondering if you were going to do something that might make her dumb you. So if she dumps you for that then good and if she doesn't then you know shew as joking.
