its unlikely you're allergic to aloe... check the contents of the bottle you're using- it probably contains alcohol or some form of alcohol which is what's causing the problems. A lot of Aloe products add alcohol to make it dry quickly but it also pulls the moisture out of the burn so it's actually kind of contradictory. Never apply anything with alcohol, mineral oil or petroleum in it on a sunburn- it'll only make it hurt more and can actually make the burn worse.
you're most likely not allergic to aloe but one of the many additives they put in commercial burn creams.
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME LAST SUMMER. it's the worst, because you itch like crazy, but you can't scratch it, unless you want to cause enough pain to make you cry.
