It could be nothing at all - trust me I have beat lung cancer twice and a brain tumor sometimes the techs say shit that makes you panic but then it turns out to be nothing at all - don't panic and get some sleep .
Aww, I'm sure u'll be alright.. All the best anyway!
He was probably just trolling you....and it worked too
Thats actually funny :p
As protocol states that's classified material. *Takes out Men In Black memory eraser* ZAP!
Receiving 8 millirems in a short period of time isn't a big deal? The average person only receives 360 a year! It's been PROVEN to increase the risk of cancer, so yes, it is unfortunate that OP had to subject themselves to unnecessary radiation. On a side note, anyone who reads this: stay away from the airport body scanners! Their radiation emission has not been released to the public and people who made and endorse them REFUSE to go through them themselves! Please be aware of radiation guys, even though you can't see it, exposure to it will increase your risk of cancer, cataracts, and even birth defects in your children. If you want any more info, talk to me, this is one of my areas of expertise along with the russian prison system!

Actually, he can't say jack shit to him. He's a tech - his job is to take the X-ray, not to interpret it. It would be ethically reprehensible for the tech to tell him anything. It's just as wrong for the tech to say what he did.
Wow, the amount of ignorance swirling around here is staggering. You're all wrong. The tech is not supposed to say anything, so no one got trolled. And the amount of radiation from a chest X-ray is 0.1 mSv, or the same radiation you're exposed to just living for 10 days.
