Today, I had my first appearance in a court as an attorney. I called the prosecution the prostitution. FML

Priceless. But depending on the case, there is a small possibility, you were still correct.

Nice. XD FYL, but it's not your fault, we all mess up sometimes like that. ;P

To the people saying they hope the OP doesnt loose his/her liscense- why on earth would they loose their ability to practice law for saying the word prostitution? Even if they were directly calling someone a prostitute (which i suppose they kind of were) how is that an offence worthy of loosing their liscense?

Haha, nice one! At least it's just your first day, when people pretty much expect you to be flustered. You're not the first person to make that mistake - I have a friend who did the same thing, although it was in a classroom mock-trial presentation, and I'm sure others have done it in court like you did.

Did you graduate from a state school? or worse an auxiliary state school? You deserved it if so.

I used to do that a lot. When I was a kid.

#68... That should have been drilled out of him after 3 years of mock courts and internships at firms. The only reasonable alternative is he is one of the 800,000 attorneys that could not get any other real job, chose the field, and are now stuck doing traffic court/public defense/criminal prosecution/DWIs. He completely deserved it... Seethe your mediocrity into other fields please.

Haha too funny what did the prostitution do? ;)

Wow, that does suck. I am sure it was obvious before you made the slip that you were nervous. The two words are pretty close. Someday, probably soon, you will be able to look back at this and laugh.

I did that twice for mock trial in high school.
