Had I been dating a guy for a while this would have made me laugh. Had I just met the guy or just started getting to know him, this might have been a little awkward. I might have been a little flabbergasted at first as well, then after the initial shock I would probably have laughed. If, you know, nothing of mine was singed or on fire. haha
