Today, I had to be treated for chemical burns, because my mother got the bright idea of using paint thinner to clean me up after I'd painted our living room. FML

And the reason you lived past infancy is....?

You didn't realize she was about to use paint thinner on your skin?

I use paint thinner to remove paint from my hands... Nothing happens.

No need for harsh chemicals. Soap, water and elbow grease gets paint off skin. I paint all the time.

This may be a dumb question, but aren't there warnings on the bottle of paint thinner? Also, how old are you that you need your mom to clean you up? And why was soap and water not the best option? YDI OP!!

I've always used paint thinner to get paint off my skin, no chemical burns here. Maybe you just have sensitive skin.

Future reference: Just use baby oil and it'll come right off. You'll also be silky smooth.

I've had paint thinner on me all day and took a shower at the end of the day after work and never had a chemical burn, maybe you should just wash.

This reminds me of when my step-dad tried to grill with torch fuel.

After this incident you shouldn't allow your mom to get close to you with anything.

Hmm mum is feeling very artistic after you painted the wall. Behold my new creation! The thinning child, it's art all cleaned up.
