Today, I had to be treated for chemical burns, because my mother got the bright idea of using paint thinner to clean me up after I'd painted our living room. FML

And the reason you lived past infancy is....?

You didn't realize she was about to use paint thinner on your skin?

I've cleaned paint off with paint thinner before... How long did you leave it on? Cause I've never gotten a chemical burn from doing it.

I've used both paint thinner and white spirit to clean my hands after painting. No irritation at all, it just makes my hands feel warm. But I prefer white gasoline, which has a more pleasant odor.

Uhm your mother is a dumbass. You definitely can use it, me and my father have used it multiple times, but you can't use much. By scrubbing or using anymore than a very small amount will cause a burn. Retards.

I've used paint thinner on my skin before. No big deal.

Its ok. My cousin at work thought itd be funny to put it all over my neck.

I'm a car painter I get these all the time not so bad you'll live

Well, you obviously stood there and let her, so YDI for not thinking that was a bad idea.

Thinner is not that bad... If you di this only once nothing g bad will happen. BTW, why bkt use water based paint?

Are you allergic? Because paint thinner shouldn't burn your skin unless you are...

Hope she wasn't smoking while she did this.
