Today, I had to endure a long drive from Poland to England. We weren't allowed to open our windows. My mum threw up. Twice. FML

There is one reason I bothered to read the comments on this post. I wanted to see how many people made dumbass comments about how you can't drive to England because it's on an island. Thank you for entertaining me with your cluelessness!

That's horrible! You should have gotten one of those little pine-tree air fresheners and stuck in on your nose!

and why weren't you allow to open a window?

I'm surprised to see how many people are talking about the obvious difficulty in driving to England. Technically speaking, you drove from Poland to France... and I would hope that your mum changed her clothes or at least cleaned up before getting on the train to England!

it's a good job your grandparents weren't all as dumb when they crossed the channel to liberate Europe onD'Day with us, they then managed to take tanks and armoured cars and allsorts of shit with them, then drive all the way to Poland to Auschwitz. But i bet they were allowed to open the windows if someone threw up.

The Allies that crossed at D-day only made it to Germany. The Soviets took Poland and Aushwitz.

why couldn't you open the windows?

your parents are stupid. Opening windows is one of the first things we used to do to combat my brother's travel sickness.

Sheesh maybe they were travelling by coach and they *couldn't* open the windows! In high school I used to go quite often on coach trips with my school and there was always someone who got car sickness. It sucks, but there's not much you can do about it. Sorry, OP!
