Well, of course. Teachers went to school to learn dead languages in order to teach it to future generations.
I'm actually surprised that OP is literate in heiroglyphics at his age. Very impressive.
It's most likely that OP just knows the alphabet. Otherwise it would be very surprising how both OP and the teacher could translate a dead language.
Maybe he isn't, maybe he just used Google. Maybe the teacher did too. Who can say?
Hieroglyphics are pretty simple to decipher...but really if it is for school make it right...
That sucks! Also makes me wanna learn to write hieroglyphics...
I did too but I wrote son of a bitch to my social studies teacher he then read it and got me suspended
Why would you write that on a social studies poster anyway...?
Hopefully your teacher got a good laugh about it. Funny but you deserve it
I have studied Middle Egyptian (which is written in hieroglyphics) for two years at a university. A transliteration for "nice ass" would be "phwy nfrwy". nfr means "nice" and phwy is listed in Faulkner's Middle Egyptian dictionary as "hind quarters".

I feel like that deserves some extra credit.
That's actually pretty impressive if your teacher is literate in hieroglyphics. You totally deserve it, but at least you have a cool teacher.
