I feel you. I had to do the same last week when a man took over most of my seat. Why should I pay for a seat I can hardly sit on?
A lot of people in these comments seem to have a sever inability to understand degrees of a state. Not all types of fat are the same. There's a very large range. There's being a little on the heavy side, being fat, being obese, and being so ******* huge that you take up not a whole seat, or even a seat and a half, but that you mush the person in the other seat up against the window sideways. Being a little heavy or fat, even obese,(which are the ranges most people here commenting about how they can't help their weight fall into) can be explained by genetics, poverty, and illness to a degree. Being as massive as this woman is comes from poor life decisions, plain and simple. When you factor that in with how inconsiderate she is of those around her, I have no sympathy for her in regards to the names OP calls her.
the problem was not her of being fat. the problem was she has taken over his personal space and didn't ask him how he was doing nor offered him to change seats.

as a fat girl... STOP SAYING PEOPLE CANT HELP BEING OBESE. there's such a small amount of obese people who are in the situation solely for other health reasons. 99% of the time it's pure laziness (which I admit to on my part).
Considering the fact that OP had her/his chest pressed up against the window, I'd say there's a fat chance of just "getting out".
