Today, I have to deal with being laughed at by my mother and sister, because they keep making sharp movements towards me, causing me to flinch. This is because I got mugged and beaten last night. They think it's hysterical. FML

That's awful, I'm so sorry. :( I agree with everything people have said so far, may I recommend this order: 1. React by lashing out in defense 2. Go to a friend's or relative's house 3. When y'all make contact after a day or two, explain why what they were doing was so harmful 4. If you're still feeling pissed or they're still being stupid, plot revenge Good luck~

How could you be mugged and beaten? Did your pistol jam? More range time will help you clear it in a hurry. Also, a jammed pistol can be used as a blunt object.

what sort of dumbass uses a firearm in an urban setting??? Bullets don't magically stop if you miss the target. They go on to hit cars, buildings...and people. THIS is why I wish we had a required intelligence test to use a gun. Unless it is a deserted area far from homes and traffic or there is nothing but a blank brick wall behind them, anyone using a gun in the city needs to be pistol-whipped senseless then forcefully fed their gun thru the wrong end of the digestive tract. Exceptions are frangibles (still pretty questionable...) and a wide-choke shotgun with a low-power load. Those are highly deadly at close range...and pretty useless much beyond that. AND they don't penetrate. Only a dumbass with no regard for the safety of bystanders pulls a handgun in any sort of urban/suburban setting outside those very rare circumstances.
