Let's give the OP the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the woman was married/dating someone for most of that time and just recently broke up? Although it is really lame and pathetic fot waiting 22 ******* years. I would have gave up after 22 months.

OP, pull your head out of your ******* ass and put yourself in her shoes. How would YOU react? Would you be like, "oh well you've been creeping on me for long enough, I'm now obligated to have feelings for you." Or, would you react like any normal person, and ask yourself "then why the **** didn't you ask me out TWENTY-TWO ******* YEARS AGO so we could have a date, see if we have any chemistry, and then see what happens." You can't just "pour your feelings out" to someone you haven't ever expressed interest in. You can't possibly expect a relationship to work if you haven't ever been intimate with someone, or even spoke to them in an intimate manner.
