It's ridiculous that so many of you are laughing at his question when you are actually wrong. Birds are classified as reptiles. Granted, they aren't snakes or lizards, but they're reptiles nonetheless. Thank you to those of you posting who are pointing this out. For the rest of you, or check your facts before you make fun of someone else, please.

According to alot of scientific theories, birds evolved from dinosaurs. And if you look at the similarities between a hawk and and a raptor you mighy be surprised by just how much they look alike

For all you clearly non biologists birds are in fact classified as reptiles. In most recent textbooks the section on the birds is titled- avian reptiles and for the rest non- avian reptiles.

Actually in new scientific classification they are a sort of sub-group of reptiles. I think it's stupid, bur since birds supposedly evolved from reptiles that's where they're putting them

Well, birds actually evolved from the same line as reptiles and share many similarities such as heart anatomy. So your boss was actually on the right track.
