Today, a reliable source informed me that my suspicions that I would soon be fired were wrong. Instead, my boss plans to make my life miserable until I quit. FML

Pretend you like all the shit your boss dumps on you. That way, he'll go mad and you can take his job!

I assume this is to get around from paying you a severance package? Start keeping notes of how he is trying to make you miserable and have a word with HR

Sounds like it's time for a bit of malicious compliance.

sounds like my place. in 9 years, only 3-4 people left amicably. the rest (dozens of people) quit in anger and despair.

Sounds like the perfect time to start taking longer with your work as well as making small mistakes to ensure nothing really gets done.

Everything everyone has said in these comments, has already been on my mind! My plan right now is to keep "working" (the bare minimum, so as to not be insubordinate) while documenting everything that is being done to me. I have consulted legal and I have printed every nasty email and text message. I am looking for a new job and I plan on quitting only when I find a new position. I will not quit until then and in the event that I am fired first, I will request a severance package and I will sue for wrongful termination as well as unemployment benefits. When I quit, I will request an exit interview with the owners of the company and I will give them a packet of everything that I have documented as proof of poor treatment. I am not the only one unhappy here and the owners need to understand that the management is causing the high turnover rate. Thanks for your support! I hope no one else has to experience this.
