Today, I learned how awful intertrigo smells. I spent a ton of money and years of my life to become a health care provider apparently to treat the yeast infection between an obese woman's fat folds. FML

Uncertain on how to vote here, on one hand that sucks, but then again it is a job you trained for. Actually, I made up my mind. You became a health care provider by choice, and by obviously knowing it wasn't all going to be sunshine, rainbows, and unicorn farts.

Actually... That's EXACTLY what you signed up to do. Health care isn't always neat and pretty. That's why your paid the higher wages. So quit bitching.. You could be cleaning sewers for minimum wage.

I grew up on a farm, seen things that would make the average person faint! I've held together animal parts while the vet did surgery on them! Helped saw a baby calf in half inside a cow to get it out! Seen it all! Get tough! Numb yourself and don't let things bother you! Soon you will be the boss and will be telling the new health care providers out of school to do it!

That actually made me wanna throw up a little bit! Anyways, hopefully this advice will help some. My mom works in the medical field and I heard a long time ago about nasty people--she said you never get use to the smell so to apply a small amount of perfume underneath your nose. Whether or not this works...haven't tried it but maybe it'll help in your future! Good luck!!

Dear people who have no idea how hard it is to get through med school, shut the hell up because you have no leg to stand on. Do the rest of you have a half a million dollars in debt and ridiculous malpractice insurance? I don't think so. Did you know the average family physician makes about 3 dollars more per hour than a high school teacher? OP definitely get what your saying. Sometimes there is just some gross stuff you have to deal with and be professional at the same time.

Yes I do. And she needs to shut the **** up because it's her job. If she can't handle it, she needs to find a new field. Pretty sure if you're smart enough to get through med school, you should be able to figure out medicine isn't pretty. I figured it out the first time I had to dissect a frog in high school some 7 years BEFORE I even entered med school.
