Wait, I didn't see before that the OP is from Oklahoma. Now it all makes sense, and doesn't surprise me anymore.
Um yeah - Rest in Peace, Fluffy? I think it's more like Rest Crispy, Fluffy, After I Baked You Alive Because I'm a Brain-Dead Dumbshit and Didn't Check the Oven First Before I Pre-Heated Even Though I Have Small Children and Should Have Known That Kids Hide Things Anywhere They Can Reach - But Then Again I Am an Air-Headed Ditz so **** Me if I Can Manage to be Responsible.
chill out gummibehrs. Yeah OP should have checked. Yes, it's OP's fault, but "brain-dead dumbshit" and "air-headed ditz" is taking things too far. Maybe her kids never used the over to hide things before and it didn't occur to her that they might. When I was little I was scared of the oven, even when it was off and therefore never put anything in. When my mom had my two little sisters it didn't occur to her that they might put things in the oven, since I never had. She and I both ended up cooking some babies, a book, cars, blocks, and who knows what else. It took us a while to get used to remembering to check there. Does that make my mother or me irresponsible? No. It means the oven wasn't our first thought. We checked the laundry. We checked the dishwasher. Oven didn't make it onto the list of places to worry about until after the first barbie doll, and didn't make it onto my list till I baked a car (no one had told me they had started hiding things in the oven)
Who cares? This isn't about what you did when you were little, it's about the fact that she should be responsible and check the ******* oven regardless of whether or not her kids had put anything in there before. There's a first time for everything, and if she's going to sit around and wait for a bunny to be baked before she breaks her little back to check the oven, than yes, she is an idiot.
Good grief people. That is how everyone learns. I bet that will never happen again! I have never met a person that was born knowing everything automatically. That is where the phrase "live and learn comes from". Personally I have only burnt one shoe in my life. The entire house smelled like rubber. The good part about it? I always check the oven now!
to bad it wasn't the kid
Bunny roast somehow sparked a sexism debate? Welcome to 4chan...right. That's what this is, isn't it?
