Today I broke my glasses beyond repair. I am very nearly legally blind. I get my glasses at Walmart and today, Christmas, is the only day out of the entire year that they are closed. Merry Christmas to me. FML

Today, my mom and I went to Best Buy for some Christmas shopping. She picked up some presents for me and told me not to look at what she was buying. When we got to the register, she didn't have enough money, and I ended up having to buy my own presents. FML

Today, besides the fact that I hate Christmas since my parents divorced, my mom told me she can't come this year with my sister because of no money. We even offered to pay for their tickets, but she won't come because of the "last minute" stress. Fuck this year. FML

Don't feel bad, I'm in a similar boat, OP. I have a job on a farm that's being restored, and the weather lately hasn't allowed us to properly handle the work, leaving me mostly broke. Luckily, father decided to send a grand my way for a combined birthday and Christmas gift, will cover rent for a few months.
