Today, I'm so lazy, I dread getting up early on days that haven't arrived yet. For stuff I actually like doing, too. FML

I hate to sound like an alarmist, but you sound a little depressed, OP. Laziness and depression are often very hard to discern from each other.

I agree with the others. I'm not a doctor or a psychologist, but I do struggle with depression and that is how I feel a lot of days. It may be depression or another medical condition causing fatigue. It wouldn't hurt to ask a doctor about it if it's happening often. Best of luck and good health to you, OP.

I agree that depression is very possible with those symptoms, but honestly don't we all hate getting up early even if it's for a good reason? You may love something but if you have to get up at 6am for it I know I would certainly be less excited.

You sound like the average college student to me.

To all who have commented worried about my mental health. Don't worry I'm not depressed. I assure you I'm just lazy I got up at 8am for school and didn't have much sleep. I love my sleep, so dreading getting up is normal xD. Sorry to worry you guys. Also. Colon_Man, love the comment.

Well, if you just don't want to get up early then you're probably just a night person and that's okay. If you're like this all day, especially for an extended period of time then that's a sign of depression or a medical problem. It's just that it's an FML and the way it's worded makes it sound serious.

That's clinical depression. Have your thyroid checked, get to a tanning bed regularly if you can't sunbathe and eat right. If you still feel the same after awhile, get to a dr. But be sure to do it in that order. No sense medicating for something a lil sunshine and a healthy diet can fix.

With all due respect, everything you suggested is incorrect. No, this is not clinical depression. Without a time frame and more symptoms, you do not make the diagnose of depression. Next, there is no circumstance in medicine that we advise going to tanning beds, in fact we strongly advise against using tanning beds. If we are actually concerned about a vitamin D deficiency, which nothing OP said makes me think that, we would test to see if it's low and prescribe vitamin D supplementation, not tanning beds. Your suggestion of checking thyroid labs is also not indicated. You don't check these just for someone who sleeps alot. And without any more symptoms specified, there is no role for thyroid labs here.

And, KaylaRox1908, (well, suxs), screw, you, douche,

As someone who suffers from depression, I can tell you that dreading activities you usually enjoy is a pretty strong sign that you may have some depression. Might wanna see about talking to a doctor or psychologist about that.
