My first best friend did something similar. She repeated the entire sentence that I said, but half-whispered it for herself.
I know how you feel OP, I lived with my grandmother for 4 years and it was torture. It was actually the worst 4 years of my life but I put up with it because I knew how hard it was for my gran, though there were times I had awful thoughts haha. Just be thankful you are only there for a few weeks.
This FML makes me sick to my stomach. I was fortunate enough to have three of my grandparents live until I was 30, then lost them all in a short period of time. Did they, in their later years, do things that might seem weird or annoying to someone much younger? Sure they did! Old people are like that. That does NOT mean they didn't deserve unconditional love and respect. Your Grandma deserves the same. She gave birth to one of your parents, and raised them as she saw fit, and you would not be alive today if she hadn't. You need to learn some respect, OP. You'll be old one day, and I'm sure you'll appreciate that your precious grandchild thinks you're annoying and is fighting back the urge to punch you. Shame on you. Now go ahead, entitled teenagers of FML - thumb me down! I would expect nothing less from your hopeless generation.
Calm down lady. Some people do get annoyed by it. I have a hearing problem and always have to ask people again what they said. And I know people get annoyed by it, and i understand. And "us teenagers" will thumb you down if you're a disrespectful prick, so see it from her point of view for once, okay?
My grandmother drives me crazy too, as long as you dont actually do it your not horrible, although you have it pretty easy if thats all she does
I have a cousin whom repeats almost every sentence that someone says, also everything she says herself. I have lived in one house with her for over a year now. I never completely understood it, but I think it's just a way of processing what has been said, in order to keep track of what is going on en don't get too confused. She just needs a little more time than you to understand it when someone is speaking, it is her way of being capable of having a conversation with you. Just try seeing things from her side and it might be easier for you not to be annoyed by her behavior.

Atleast you admitted it was horrible to think it
Old people test my patience too.
