Today, I'm still reeling over the unexpected loss of my co-worker. I also received a notification that my workload would be increased to more than twice what is was before. FML

I guess your coworker might not be the only one leaving that job...sorry for your loss & for your boss OP.

If only the double of work brought the double of dough it would be perfect

do you happen to work for k.c.? sounds like the same situation

I'm sorry for your loss, be it romantic, professional or something in between. My sympathies.

I'm gonna assume you're getting a raise with that. If not, I think it's about time that you either find a new job or put your foot down

say no, its not your problem(yes you can say no within reason but be prepared to hold your own), companies love to do this to save money, the more you stand up the better it'll be for you in the future, maybe even if you have to go somewhere where ppl won't pull this bs on you

I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you get a raise commensurate with an increased workload.

Genius manager to the rescue! "With the passing on one of your employees, we need to re-allocate the work. How should we divide his work between the–" "Unload it all on that one guy, **** that one guy"
